Death Promotes High Ratings at the Grammys
CBS’s broadcast of the Grammy Awards this week attracted more than 39 million viewers. This was the second most watched Grammy’s of all time, only being beat out by the Grammy’s in 1984 featuring Michael Jackson. I believe that the broadcast was watched all around the world due to the fact of Whitney Houston’s death. Everyone wanted to tune in to see Jennifer Hudson give tribute to the famous singer. 39 million viewers received chills from the powerful performance of “I will always love you” done by Hudson. Movies & TV shows giving teens false hopes
I, myself, am a victim to the entertainments false advertisings of love and the perfect happy ending. I enjoy these movies and television shows, they give me hope but at the same time they have damaged my vision of love in reality and what you should really be expecting in a guy or in a relationship. Movies and television shows avoid showing the obstacles, hard times, and the failures in love and are focusing mainly on the first stage in a love story which for the most is always happy and exciting. Thanks to all the movies out there, every girl has extremely high expectations about men and men can’t seem to live up to them because they are too high and unrealistic. Hollywood’s fake happy endings are causing much heartbreak and sabotaging peoples love lives every day.
