To pin or not to pin? That is the question.

Pinterest is an image database where you can search through a variety of topics from architecture to cars to fitness to apparel. There is a broad selection you can explore through to fit everyone’s interests. You search your interest and scroll through the photos and pin the ones that catch your interest and inspire you. Using Pinterest for marketing is a smart choice for businesses to jump into. I believe Pinterest has the ability to grow into a huge success just like Facebook has done throughout the years of it's existence. If companies realize all the benefits and potential behind Pinterest as a way to advertise their brands and products then Pinterest will soon become a very popular website which everyone will be on exploring on a daily basis. Do you believe Pinterest will become as successful as Faceook and Twitter when it comes to the advertising world?

Daily Deals

Some people can’t imagine their shopping experience not involving daily deals. So many more websites have come out with a daily deal section ever since Groupon’s huge success in 2008 when it was launched in Chicago. Daily deals are becoming the new trend and some people will not buy products or items unless there is a coupon involved. Companies are beginning to hop on the daily deal bandwagon because companies can use this strategy to attract new customers and also keep current customers loyal. Thoughts on daily deals?

Advertising on Twitter.. Good or Bad?

When Twitter announced in September that it would be introducing ads into the news stream from accounts that users did not follow, it created a little chaos and a fair amount of criticism occurred. Some users of Twitters, myself especially, find these ads to be annoying and we do not spend time looking at them. We do not follow certain companies or people because we do not have interest in what they have to offer us so for them to force their advertising on us is very intrusive. Still, there are some tweeters who like this type of advertising with 21% of people that have used a discount successfully through a promoted tweet. How does everyone else feel about this? Are you for twitter advertising or against it?

Fashion Rules Advertising

Fashion has been taking over the advertising world for years now. Fashion advertising is focused on getting the audience to wear your clothes. The company tries to get the audience to feel that if they wear their clothes, they will be sexy, cool, popular, etc. Advertising for fashion in a large part is focused on the brand or logo of the brand. This strategy will only work for companies whose logo or brand is well-known such as Polo. Another way fashion advertises is by having celebrities wear their brand name clothes and for people to see them in it which will make many of their fans go out and cause the sales to rise. The bottom line is that fashion advertising works towards appealing to the emotions of the people who would wear specific types of clothing.
