Is Kony still in effect?

Ever since the release of the popular STOP KONY video, that went around the internet very rapidly a few months ago, I haven't heard much about it since. What can the people who made this video do to keep bringing these eye-catching advertisements and videos about the horrific crimes going on to the world? The video was a huge success causing millions of people to care and become of part of KONY 2012. But what can they do to keep the people still involved? Do you think eventually people will stop caring about what is going on?

Instragram > Facebook? What do you think?

Instagram is a fun way to share your life through the pictures you take with your friends. Its very simple you just take a picture on your iPhone or Droid then choose from the several different filters they have to create a whole new look with your picture. Instagram allows you to connect to the world or to just your friends through images that you find special to you. Now that Facebook just announced they bought Instagram for $2 billion .. do you think Instagram will approve or will it become swamped with ads just like Facebook?

Krazy about the Kardashians?

Whether you like them or not, the Kardashian’s are everywhere! There name is on everything. Jewelry, shoes, diet supplements, candles, perfumes, clothing lines, and now OPI nail polish. I believe it is a very strategic move for companies to use the Kardashian women to sell their brand. They are in their prime of their career and millions of females want to be them and look like them. By OPI picking up the six Kardashian women to create new nail polish colors for the company they are making a smart move. The Kardashian women are known for their amazing fashion styles and this gives women everywhere a chance to steal their style when it comes to their finger nails and toe nails. I believe this endorsement can only help the OPI brand with their sales even more. Do you agree?

The Lies Behind Fast Food Ads

Constantly on television we are forced to watch ads for all the fast food chains that leave most people with their mouths watering and stomachs growling. The images they show us of delicious, appealing food is very hard to turn down and resist. Once you get to the fast food place, our expectations are usually let down. They make the burgers look so big and tasty when in reality they are much smaller in size when you order it. I believe fast food companies need to start living up to the image they present to us because they are leaving thousands of people unsatisfied every day with their false advertisements.

To pin or not to pin? That is the question.

Pinterest is an image database where you can search through a variety of topics from architecture to cars to fitness to apparel. There is a broad selection you can explore through to fit everyone’s interests. You search your interest and scroll through the photos and pin the ones that catch your interest and inspire you. Using Pinterest for marketing is a smart choice for businesses to jump into. I believe Pinterest has the ability to grow into a huge success just like Facebook has done throughout the years of it's existence. If companies realize all the benefits and potential behind Pinterest as a way to advertise their brands and products then Pinterest will soon become a very popular website which everyone will be on exploring on a daily basis. Do you believe Pinterest will become as successful as Faceook and Twitter when it comes to the advertising world?

Daily Deals

Some people can’t imagine their shopping experience not involving daily deals. So many more websites have come out with a daily deal section ever since Groupon’s huge success in 2008 when it was launched in Chicago. Daily deals are becoming the new trend and some people will not buy products or items unless there is a coupon involved. Companies are beginning to hop on the daily deal bandwagon because companies can use this strategy to attract new customers and also keep current customers loyal. Thoughts on daily deals?

Advertising on Twitter.. Good or Bad?

When Twitter announced in September that it would be introducing ads into the news stream from accounts that users did not follow, it created a little chaos and a fair amount of criticism occurred. Some users of Twitters, myself especially, find these ads to be annoying and we do not spend time looking at them. We do not follow certain companies or people because we do not have interest in what they have to offer us so for them to force their advertising on us is very intrusive. Still, there are some tweeters who like this type of advertising with 21% of people that have used a discount successfully through a promoted tweet. How does everyone else feel about this? Are you for twitter advertising or against it?
