Whether you like them or not, the Kardashian’s are
everywhere! There name is on everything. Jewelry, shoes, diet supplements,
candles, perfumes, clothing lines, and now OPI nail polish. I believe it is a
very strategic move for companies to use the Kardashian women to sell their
brand. They are in their prime of their career and millions of females want to
be them and look like them. By OPI picking up the six Kardashian women to create new nail polish
colors for the company they are making a smart move. The Kardashian women are
known for their amazing fashion styles and this gives women everywhere a chance
to steal their style when it comes to their finger nails and toe nails. I
believe this endorsement can only help the OPI brand with their sales even
more. Do you agree?
Ehh....I suppose it was a good move on their part because they know it will sell, but it's pretty sad that so many people look up to these women. I can't really think of anything positive the Kardashians have affiliated with their name. Their famous because one has a huge butt and the others are married to successful people. I can't imagine people aspiring to be anything like them. In terms of sales, OPI is probably raking in the money as we speak. I think it will probably be a short lived fad and can't imagine their popularity lasting much longer.
ReplyDeleteI think this endorsement will possibly help the OPI brand with their sales, however for only a short amount of time. I feel many people are becoming annoyed with the Kardashians because they are every where from different products, to several tv shows.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree. OPI made a very smart decision in picking up all six of the Kardashain women because it makes a strong statement that OPI is the Kardashians preferred brand. Last year for a project I did a marketing campaign for Maybelline and focused on endorsing multiple Victoria's Secrets angels. Maybelline already uses Adriana Lima as a spokes model but at the time the VS Fashion Show had just aired and I thought it would be a strategic marketing move to pick up more than one angel. Having a group of VS angels, or in this case Kardashians, as spokes models makes a stronger impact and a greater influence on buyers.
